Plenary Session: Opening up the Russian Far East

Spent this afternoon in discussion with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Republic of Korea President Park Geun-hye on the development of the Russian Far East and the strengthening of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and the Asia-Pacific.

The Eastern Economic Forum 2016 was held in Vladivostok – home port of the Russian Pacific Fleet, scarcely a few hundred kilometres from North Korea and China, and only 800kms or so from Japan.
