Submission: Parliamentary Petitions

In February 2021, I made a written submission to the Australian House of Representatives Inquiry into aspects of its petitioning system.The Inquiry was launched following technological failures by the Department of Parliamentary Services which resulted in many thousands of Australians being unable to sign the Petition for a Royal Commission to ensure the strength and diversity of Australian news media.The Inquiry is also examining a malicious cyberattack on that petition by a right-wing activist, inspired by a segment he saw on Murdoch's Sky News.Click here to read my submission.
