'Hypocritical': Kevin Rudd slams Scott Morrison's TikTok efforts | ABC Radio PM

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has joined the Chinese-owned social media platform to wish Australia Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.

In the past he had criticised the platform and warned "it has an extension cord going straight back to China".

Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd says the PM disabling comments and certain engagement features on his account is hypocritical and goes against "the essential democratic nature of the platform".

Other China analysis say it's a move to connect with people in China, not Australia.
